Nip/Tuck: Art Garfunkel - All I Know

Το είχα ανεβάσει παλιά στο facebook της Ομάδας, αλλά χτες που είδα την άψογη (επαν)εμφάνιση των Simon and Garfunkel για τα [τόσα] χρόνια του Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, το ξαναθυμήθηκα. Και δεν κρατιέμαι! Γιατι είναι ενα πραγματικά υπέροχο κομμάτι του Art Garfunkel και είναι απλά απίστευτο οτι το χρησιμοποιήσαν στο "Nip/Tuck"! Μάλλον είναι "one of the GREATEST Endings to one of the GREATEST Seasons of television" [όπως λέει καποιος στο YouTube], εγω απλά θα πω οτι ο συνδιασμός κομματιού και μοντάζ δίνει μια πραγματικά αριστουργηματική στιγμή σε μια τηλεοπτική σειρά, που ήταν μεν εθιστική αλλά είχε και πολλά ups and downs!

Nip/Tuck Season 2 finale: Art Garfunkel - All I Know

I bruise you, you bruise me
We both bruise too easily
Too easily to let it show
I love you, and that's all I know

All my plans have fallen through
All my plans depend on you
Depend on you to help them grow
I love you, and that's all I know

When the singer's gone
Let the song go on...

But the ending always comes at last
Endings always come too fast
They come too fast, but they pass too slow
I love you, and that's all I know

When the singer's gone
Let the song go on
It's a fine line between the darkness and the dawn
They say the darkest night
There's a light beyond

But the ending always comes at last
Endings always come too fast
They come too fast, but they pass too slow
I love you, and that's all I know
That's all I know
That's all I know

Ο Garfunkel είχε/έχει και κινημ/φική καριέρα, με μερικούς σπουδαίους ρόλους (δυο λόγια από τη Wikipedia):

Garfunkel pursued an acting career in the early 1970s, appearing in two Mike Nichols films: "Catch-22" (1970), where he played the 19-year old naive Captain Nateley, and "Carnal Knowledge" (1971), where he played the idealistic Sandy. His role as Sandy won him a Golden Globe Nomination for Best Supporting Actor in 1972.

He later appeared in Nicholas Roeg's "Bad Timing: A Sensual Obsession" (1980) as Alex Linden, an American psychiatrist and the film's main Antagonist, which received the Toronto Film Festival's highest honour, the People's Choice Award, in 1980 and the London Film Critics Circle Award for Best Director.

He appeared in "Good to Go", (1986) directed by Blain Novak, starring as a Washington, D.C. journalist who struggles to clear his name after being framed for rape and murder.

He then appeared in the dramatic medical crime drama "Boxing Helena" (1993) directed by Jennifer Chambers Lynch, as Dr. Lawrence Augustine, the supporting character to Antagonist and his close friend.

Garfunkel's most recent film is "The Rebound" (2010) directed by Bart Freundlich, playing Harry Finklestein, the slightly senile and comedic relieving father of the film's main character, Aram Finklestein (Justin Bartha).

Garfunkel has said that during the 1970's, he turned numerous numbers of films. He turned down the role of Billy Pilgrim in "Slaughterhouse Five" and the role of Tom Hagen in "The Godfather" in the same year (1972).
